Fortify Property Management is a full-service property management company experienced in managing residential properties, apartment complexes, commercial properties, and multifamily properties across the Los Angeles geographical area. We’re currently looking to add a full time Property Manager to the team. Fortify Property Management fosters an entrepreneurial environment. As a Property Manager at Fortify you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of a portfolio of properties. Your primary goal will be to ensure owner satisfaction, maximize property value and income, and maintain a high level of professionalism and efficiency in property operations.

*This is a full time role based at our office in El Segundo*

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for owner communication with assigned portfolio of properties (maintain a strong relationship with these owners
• Timely communication with ad hoc questions from property owners as well as proactive communication of building updates (Monthly status update)
• Coordinate with Maintenance department to ensure repairs are addressed in a timely order and completed
• Conduct regular property inspections and ensure properties in portfolio are well-maintained and in compliance
• Monitor occupancy rates, rent collection, delinquency
• Partner with Leasing to ensure any unoccupied units in assigned portfolio are being marketed and shown regularly
• Identify areas of process improvement

Qualifications:

• Generally has 3 years experience or relevant to their field
• Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices
• Strong understanding of key KPI’s for properties and the team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Detail oriented and strong work ethic
• Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Must also be able to teach or answer any software related questions for owners)
• Prior experience using Buildium property management software
